The mission of the African Association of Energy Journalists and Publishers, AJERAP, is to promote accurate reportage and analysis of the energy and related sectors from an African perspective.
This is expected to assist in achieving not only the ‘just energy transition’ for Africa but also energy security in the continent, which is still struggling to overcome its energy poverty.
The association is committed to promoting professional development and cooperation among its members while encouraging investment, local content development and sustainability in Africa and beyond. It is also committed to the welfare of its members
Members
AJERAP has grown to attract members from other African nations, including Angola, Libya, Algeria, Gabon, Equatorial Guinea, Gambia, Senegal, Mauritania, Mozambique, Tanzania, Egypt, Benin, Cameroun, Côte d’Ivoire, South Sudan, Uganda, Kenya and Niger.
Our Structure
Advisory Board
AJERAP has an Advisory Board, made up of a few strategic and committed professionals, who can advice the association.
Board of Trustees
Also, there is the Board of Trustees, made up of members of the association, who provide direction, guide the association as well as appoint members of the advisory board on a term basis.
The Executives
The association has an Executive Board, made up of the Executive Chairman, Executive Officer and others, who are responsible for executing the affairs of the association
Committees
The association also has some Committees, including the Conference Committee, Publicity Committee and Welfare Committee
